The Association ‘Musiques et Voix en Pays Catalans’ is currently finalising the programme for the popular Autumn Music Festival in the 10 communes of the Vallespir.
The brochure will be available in mid July.
You can already see on this site indications of which musicians will be taking part in this year’s 11 concerts.
The programme also includes an educational afternoon concert for children who attend the schools in the Vallespir, featuring vibraphone and marimba, plus a masterclass for wind instruments, followed by an evening concert by students from the Conservatoire of Montserrat Caballé in Perpignan.

Saturday 21st September, 20h, Le Perthus, Chapelle du Fort Bellegarde. Boccherini’s Sabat Mater and Vivaldi’s Motet. Directed by Christian Papis, with soprano Sabine Riva and a string quartet.
Sunday 22nd September, 17h, Taillet, Eglise St. Valentin.
Duo Canopée (harp and flute), with a musical voyage from Bach to Piazzolla.
Friday 27th September, 20h, Vivés, Eglise St Michel. Music from the opera, with Stéphanie Fontanarosa on piano and soprano Sabine Riva.

Sunday 29th September, 17h, Les Cluses Hautes, Eglise St Nazaire. Duo Cord’Eole (Fanny Mayne on flute & Nicolas Faure on cello) play Viennese melodies by Mozart, Kreisler and Kraft.
Sunday 6th October, 17h, St Jean Pla de Corts, Salle Polyvalente. A major classical concert starring Thomas Leleu on tuba, Magali Albertini on piano and Adelaide Ferrière on vibraphone.
Sunday 13th October, 17h, Le Boulou, Salle Les Echards. Carmina Burana by Carl Orff in a version using 2 pianos (Emilie Benterfa & Aurore Couteau), The Percussionists of Barcelona, 100 singers including soloists: Sabine Riva, soprano; Emmanuel Roubet, tenor; Jean-Michel Ballester, baritone; under the direction of Christian Papis.
Saturday 19th October, 17h, Reynes, Chapelle St Paul. Montréal Piano Duo (Irina Krasnyanskaya & Jean-Fabien Schneider). Two pianos for two pianists.
Sunday 20th October, 17h, L’Albere, Eglise St Jean. The Trio Via Domitia with: Melody Giot, cello; Pascal Goze, guitar; Jacques Lesburgueres, flute.
Sunday 3rd November, 17h, Céret, Salle de l’Union. Christian Papis presents: Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, with the Choir ‘l’Accent Lyrique’ and 11 soloists, including in the principle roles – Laurent Arcaro, Lauranne Oliva, Sabine Riva, Lucile Rentz & Philippe Brocard, accompanied by Emilie Benterfa on piano.
Saturday 17h November, 17h, Maureillas, Foyer Communal. Closing concert of the Festival presents “An Evening at the Opera” arranged by Christian Papis and presenting 3 soloists and 25 musicians from the Conservatoire in Perpignan.
